13. POWER UP

If you plan to use your laptop, make sure your battery is fully charged. We do not recommend using battery power, but if there is no way you can keep your computer plugged into an outlet, check your laptop a few days before to see if it will hold a charge long enough for your entire digital interview. Remember, using video and add-ons drains your battery more quickly than simply typing a document in Word, so test out your battery life while running the same applications you will need for your interview. Make sure you are well in the clear. For example, if your interview is scheduled for one hour, make sure you have enough battery power for three hours.
