15. Operating the Software

In this chapter we will walk through the last few states in the kernel, looking at how the production team used the kernel to help with the deployment, support, and maintenance of the application.

15.1. Setting the Scene

When the system was handed over from the development team to production, the production team received the following evidence.

• The stakeholders were satisfied for deployment.

• The opportunity had been addressed.

• The requirements had been fulfilled.

• The software system was ready.

They also knew the development team was still available to support the application, as the work had not yet been closed nor the team adjourned.
