Celebrate! The overachiever in me often wonders why we celebrate birthdays. After all, a birthday signifies nothing more than the passage of time. What has really been achieved? Don't misunderstand. I joyfully eat my cake and blow out the candles. I love the celebration. But in comparison, some of life's other achievements truly represent milestones that have taken great effort. Events or dates, such as graduations or anniversaries, mark some of those.
