About the Second Edition

The Enthusiastic Employee, published in 2005, was an action-oriented book about people at work: their goals, the way they were managed or mismanaged, and their resulting performance. Our objectives, simply stated, were to help companies obtain more from workers and workers more from their companies. Those are not contradictory objectives, because our basic premise is that, under the right kind of leadership, the more one side gains, the more the other side gains.
