Let's begin our exploration of the policies and practices that facilitate employee enthusiasm with the concept of equity (i.e., the degree to which people believe their employer treats them with fundamental fairness). This can be addressed either from the point of view of individual employees (perceptions of treatment relative to others in the company) or the treatment of large segments of a workforce.
