It isn’t easy to stop worrying about what other people think of you. It is particularly difficult if you don’t think very much of yourself. The impostor syndrome can feel like a kind of amnesia, one that makes us forget our own accomplishments. The only way to counter it is to consistently ask yourself the question: What did I do to get here? And here is the tricky part, you not only have to ask the question but also answer it honestly and without false modesty.

Practice seeing other people as they are. See their strengths and weaknesses. That will allow you to see yourself in the same way, with compassion and understanding.
