Those of us who experience the impostor syndrome tend to evaluate ourselves against a very narrow range of criteria that have more to do with our sense of how we do or do not fit in. Become familiar with your impostor. Think about the situations that trigger your impostor fears. In what ways do you feel different from the people you compare yourself to and how do you go about trying to fit in?

Ask yourself: “What am I trying to prove? To whom? And why?”
