Prompt Correction of Employees

When disciplining employees, taking prompt corrective action is key. The offending employee must be called to account for her misconduct in a timely and reasonable fashion. In the event of performance errors, you must be able to prove that you tried to work with the employee to improve her performance. Juries always respect the fact that you gave the employee a second chance or tried to assist her in learning how to perform her job.
