If only there were enough hours in the day, then the leader would have time to do everything necessary to further the vision. Of course, all leaders face difficult priorities and tasks competing for their attention. However, fueling the vision is essential to leadership. Leaders must have and demonstrate passion toward the vision every day in order for employees to commit.
This exercise is aimed at helping leaders visualize themselves doing positive actions. Visualizing oneself in successful situations helps people to commit to goals and also helps motivate people. Leaders who visualize themselves taking positive steps to achieve their goals are more apt to act on the visualizations.
