COACHING TIPS FOR COACH/TRAINER

Most leaders already know what they should be doing to improve. This exercise allows leaders to tell themselves through the voice of a great, admired leader what they could do to improve. The leader studied in EQ 28 could be used as the advice giver.

Emotionally intelligent leaders recognize that it is OK to ask for help. They also know that, ultimately, it is within their power to make changes if they are not satisfied with the result.

The coach/trainer should act as an encourager and motivator for participants. The participants should be encouraged to implement the answers that they think will lead to the right path.
