This book is an outcome of international collaboration between researchers in Africa, Norway, Sweden, Japan, and the United States and from international organizations including the World Bank, International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF). Young researchers from Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and Malawi were involved in the research in their own countries and provided valuable insights to the book.
