European Digital Cinema Forum is proud to present this Guide to Digital Film Production. EDCF was constituted three years ago, more specifically in Stockholm on 13 June 2001. Sweden’s EU Presidency offered a well-timed opportunity to launch a European E- and D-cinema initiative, since we at that time had developed a good working relationship with our counterparts in Great Britain and France, based on cooperation and trust.
Our joint ambition was to create a European network for all those who wanted to participate actively in the development of digital cinema in Europe. One thing was for sure at that time: the digital evolution would bring with it radical changes in all parts of European cinema - in production, exhibition, content, ...
