Registering to become a member of the eBay community is simple, and it doesn’t cost a thing.

From the eBay home page at www.ebay.com, click on the “Register” link at the top of the page. You’ll be prompted to enter your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. Then, you’ll choose your eBay user ID, which is the name that all your customers will know you by.

Pick a name that will be easy for your future customers to remember. If you plan to expand your business, don’t choose a user ID that will hamstring you in the future.
