Mediation

We often equate mediation with conflict intervention. That is, when we think of how to intervene in conflict, how to help move people through a conflict process, how to build a conflict intervention practice, and how to market ourselves, we start with mediation. Over time we may expand our vision of what other roles we might take in a conflict, but for most conflict professionals and for the general public as well, mediation is still viewed as the central tool and primary professional expression of conflict intervention.
