Adjusting Colors

Although getting colors as you want them is generally part of the optimization process described earlier, it may be that for specific creative reasons, you will want to change specific colors in an image. As usual, there are several methods for achieving this.

There are many tools and dialogs for making color adjustments within Photoshop (from the Image > Adjustments menu), and through third-party plug-ins (such as nik Color Efex Pro) and other software applications. All rely on a basic operation, which is to select a range of pixels and then map these values to a new range of values.
