Measurable Improvements

You create a third poster detailing the measures, or units of measurement, for gauging improvement in team performance.

MEASURES

1. Clarity of goals

  • Percentage of team members who understand the project goals (the higher the better)

2. Value

  • Quantified business objectives based on the project’s definition of value (to ensure requirements deliver the value identified for the project) as described in the article “Measurable Value with Agile” by Ryan Shriver

3. Quality measured by defects

  • Number of defects in production (this should decrease over time)

  • Cycle time for resolving defects (this should decrease over time)

4. Flow measured by blocked items

  • Number of blockers

  • Cycle time for unblocking blockers ...
