“Good job,” you say to everyone. “Anyone hungry?”

A crowd begins to head over to the cafeteria, with Aidan leading the way. Cassandra catches your eye. She wants to have a word with you.

“Jim, I just wanted to thank you for helping us out,” she says. “This morning’s been a real eye-opener for me. I didn’t realize that I was working with people who cared so much about our product. I’m sorry I won’t be able to join the team for lunch today, but I do plan to sit with both teams a couple of days a week going forward. Seeing François in action this morning has shown me that a true product owner can also be a member of the team.”
