You walk over to Patrick’s office. You hadn’t expected to need to escalate so early on. Still, if there’s one thing you’ve learned over the years, it’s “Ask for help.” You’ve also learned that if you’re not sure you need help, ask anyway. More often than not, you need it.
You continue to think about the situation with Jason. You catch yourself sighing and say out loud, “Everyone adds value.” It’s the best way to hear an important reminder after a long day.
When you get to Patrick’s office, you find he’s out meeting a client this afternoon. It looks like you have a second chance to resolve the blocker yourself.
