WHAT WENT WELL

  • Handled the first challenge—confrontation from Jason in front of the team—respectfully

  • Consulted the team to determine if it was worth continuing with the meeting

  • Identified the team has become ineffective in the norming stage of the Tuckman model—the retrospective marks the start of a return to the storming stage so that the team can improve.

  • Got improvement actions for all our problems!

WHAT WENT WRONG

  • Didn’t spend enough time with Jason to better understand his concerns prior to the retrospective
