You construct the session kanban board with three column headings: To Do, In Progress, and Done. Then you go through the items to be covered in the meeting, sticking one item at a time under the To Do column for everyone to see.

“We’ll begin by setting the scene, and then we’ll collect the data,” you say. “After that, we’ll sort through the data and finish by identifying improvement actions. We’ll postpone the decision on which actions to take until tomorrow. We’re on target to finish at four o’clock as planned. We’ll take breaks as needed; just let me know when.”
