Since the Nikon D80 gives you precise control over exposure, it helps to know when you might want to make changes to your default settings. By optimizing the image capture for a particular subject or visual effect, you increase the quality of your image’s expression.
ISO Sensitivity
Think of sensitivity as film speed. The numbers and nomenclature are the same: ISO 100 for bright light, ISO 400 for less light/fast movement, ISO 800 and above for even darker situations. One big advantage of digital imaging over film-based imaging is the ability to change sensitivity at will, as conditions warrant.
