Assignment: Create an Animation Changing Summer To Winter Using Your Own Painting
Create an animation of your summer to winter painting completed in the last chapter using After Effects. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Reduce the number of layers in your matte painting to the minimum necessary to complete the animation. For this project, if you are bringing more than ten layers into After Effects, you need to reduce your file.
2. Import your painting into After Effects, and choose Composition – Retain Layer Sizes.
3. Animate the sky in your summer version.
4. Precompose the summer version, and cross-dissolve it with your winter version.
5. Animate the sky in the winter version to match the movement of the summer sky.
