Working over a Moving Plate

In the past chapters, you’ve worked on stationary images for your matte paintings and then added motion using After Effects and camera projection. However, in studio work, many matte shots are added to moving images.

In this chapter, you’ll have the opportunity to experience working on a moving plate. To make the assignment interesting, you’ll use footage taken from the roof of a skyscraper in New York City’s Times Square.
