WRITING IN 1994, it made sense to focus on the topic of travel, as the movement of people for work and vacation was clearly an early target for transformation by the digital economy. But there is some irony in this. I discussed industry opportunities and also the dangers of disintermediation, arguing that everyone in the middle (such as travel agents) were in danger.
