Hospitals should be arranged in such a way as to make being sick an interesting experience. One learns a great deal sometimes from being sick.
At the time of his July 2013 admission to the hospital, Pablo Garcia was 16 years old, a tenth grader at a high school in Stockton, California. He hoped to be an auto mechanic one day. At about 85 pounds, he was quite small for his age, a consequence of his immune disease and the havoc it had played with his digestive system.
