Action points

  • If you want your team to grow in confidence, then deliberately set out a series of confidence-building steps. These can be the size of projects, or conquering a fear like presenting to senior clients. They’ll find that most of our fears live most potently in our own imaginations, and dissipate when exposed to daylight.
  • The same rule applies to children. Step back. If you’re always there to stop them from falling, they’ll never learn how to pick themselves up again.
