Forget the big idea

Too many businesspeople are looking for the cure for cancer. They want the one ground-breaking idea that will transform the industry. It’s all very well for the ego, but it’s not very good for the bank balance.

The more useful type of innovation is far more granular. These are the small, unapplauded ideas around process or packaging that can end up saving your company thousands. And most often they’re to be found on the shop floor, not in the C-suite.
