As we become numb to marketing messages, there’s one source that’s still trusted above all others – a personal recommendation from someone we trust.

Despite what marketing wizards might promise, this is not something you can buy. Sure, social media can streamline the recommendation process, but just getting customers to click a ‘Like’ button isn’t the answer. Research on the World Advertising Research Centre website showed that just 0.5 per cent of customers actively engage with brands they ‘like’ on Facebook.
