Blitzed, blootered, bombed – there are few parts of the English language that are as rich as terms for getting drunk. I also believe that getting banjoed can be a path to profit.
To be more precise, not the actual drunk bit. Obviously lunatic ideas can suddenly take on a veneer of credibility when fuelled by four pints of Stella (like my colleague’s surprising brainwave one evening that we should all snog each other ‘so we wouldn’t waste energy at work being curious’).
