This super-fast run through of the basics of bookkeeping, right up to producing trial balances and financial statements, introduced many of the basic concepts of accounting in a real-world situation. Now is, perhaps, a convenient point to take a break. In the next chapter, we will go on to look at the timing of the transactions, managing bank accounts, petty cash, accounts receivable and cash flow. All important stuff.
