This portrait of the famous and beautiful actress Diana Quick almost did not happen. I had first asked to photograph her early in my career. Diana contacted me and while she liked my portraits very much, she said it was not a good time to make the portrait. A year passed, and I was visiting my old neighbor at my first flat in London. We were standing outside chatting, when his neighbor called out of the window to him, asking if he knew a Simon Alexander. Diana had called my old telephone number at my old flat and asked to speak to me, and here I was, by sheer luck.
