Found Cups with Spoon

This image from a series of found objects was inspired by the late Irving Penn. Where Penn’s found objects were clean and crisp, these are more textural and gritty, allowing the viewer to get a sense of the streets they were retrieved from. Upon processing the Polaroid type 55 positive/negative film, instead of clearing the negative, it sat in the open to dry. It picked up dust particles, and even a fingerprint or two (something most photographers go to great lengths to avoid).
