GETTING SERIOUS AIR

At the BMX World Championships in Victoria, British Columbia, I scouted the course to find a few locations I thought would showcase the distance the riders were traveling in the air, and show context by including the hills and crowd. This photo is quite peaceful compared to the speed, aggression, and athleticism actually taking place. It has almost an ET feel to it. —TH
