Focusing Your Lens

I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW

There are two ways to focus a lens; manually and automatically.

Some lenses have a button, switch or slide on them for you to choose automatic or manual, so make sure that you have chosen the proper mode. Some cameras also have a corresponding switch that will need to be set as well.

Manual focusing can be a little tricky. The best method is to rotate the focusing ring on the barrel of the lens until the subject is in focus. Then rotate the lens some more to take the subject out of focus and then back in focus so that you are sure that your focus will be perfect.
