THE LEGACY OF CHARLES RENNIE MACKINTOSH
For more than 100 years, the vitality and creativity flowing through the Glasgow School of Art has attracted artists and tourists alike. In the late 1890s, the building received a facelift by the renowned 20th century Scottish artist (and GSA graduate) Charles Rennie Mackintosh. His unique designs, incorporating stylized flora and fauna motifs, branded the building a rare but excellent example of Scottish Art Nouveau with an Arts and Crafts twist. ...
