About the author

Dr. A. Ray Miller received a B.S. in computer science from the University of Central Florida in 1979. He received an M.S. and a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Illinois in 1984 and 1987, respectively. While in school, he worked at the Naval Experimental Computer Simulation Laboratory, the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois, and the Center for Supercomputing Research and Development. Dr. Miller has been employed at the National Security Agency since 1987 and has taken a tour at the Supercomputing Research Center.
