About the authors

Alan Bailin is associate professor of library services at Hofstra University. He has a BA in anthropology and an MA and PhD in English from McGill University, as well as an MLS from Queens College, City University of New York. Prior to his present position he has held university positions at the University of Western Ontario, Texas A&M at Corpus Christie and Baruch College, City University of New York. He has been an associate editor for Computers and the Humanities, and a reviewer for both the National Science Foundation and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
