Being a Change Agent

We often feel like we have to wait for change to happen, but true leaders act as change agents, forcing change upon a situation, team, or workplace when it’s needed the most. Change agents are important because they make things happen in an organization, often as powerful and influential leaders. As we will see in this chapter, they can do this by forcing change, “editing” change, or contributing to it.

How Do You Deal with Change?

Not everyone responds to change in the same way. In fact, in your evolution as a leader, you have probably noticed a variety of types of people in the organizations where you’ve worked.

  • Only like change they have created
  • Like to “put glitter on something” by just tweaking ...
