Converting a Dimension to a Measure
The preceding section discussed inserting a new object. You can also convert a dimension object to a measure or vice versa. In this section, you will add a measure object called Promotion Cost. This assumes that the table PRODUCT_PROMOTION_FACTS exists in the data foundation.
1. Position your mouse in the Product Promotion Fact folder.
2. Select the object Promotion Cost.
3. Right-click and select Turn into Measure from the pop-up menu.
TIP If you have several dimension objects that should be converted to measures, use CTRL-click to select multiple objects simultaneously and convert all of them into measures at once.
