Creating an Attribute Object

You define attribute objects in much the same way that you create dimension objects. The main difference is that you must associate an attribute object with a base dimension object.

In the following example, the attribute object Street is associated with the dimension object Shop Name. Now Street and other related details will appear in a separate folder under Shop Name. These objects will not be available when users are drilling down within a report.

The object Address_1 was created when you inserted the table OUTLET_LOOKUP into the Simple eFashion universe. By default, the IDT listed it as a dimension object. In the following example, you will create a new attribute object named Street.
