Dashboard Design and Excel
Excel Dashboard Design was created to build data visualizations from Excel data, hence the original product name: Xcelsius. Excel is still a key part of Dashboard Design. It is used for storing static data, functions, and documentation. Using Excel allows users without any programming knowledge to be able to create data visualizations.
Excel is used only for the development and design process of Dashboard Design. It is not needed when viewing a completed Dashboard Design model. Once a model is exported, Excel is not needed to use it. And Excel doesn’t need to be installed on the server either.
