Query Refresh on Open
When you save a document to a shared area of BI Launch Pad, you may want to set the document property to refresh the query on open. By default, a document is saved to the BusinessObjects BI 4 server with whatever data exists in the document at the time the document is saved. If the report is created and saved to public folders, and then accessed by a user six months later, the data in the document is at least six months old.
The Refresh on open option does the following:
• The document query is immediately launched when the document is opened. This prevents a user from opening a document and mistakenly analyzing stale data.
