Breaks

A break in a table creates segments or cuts within a table based on the unique values in the break column. A table break sorts data based on the values in the break column, and creates break headers and break footers for each unique value in the break column. A master/detail report is somewhat similar, except that a break does not create a separate report section. Also, a break column must exist in the table, whereas a section header in a master/detail report does not need to exist in any block (or even be displayed in the section).
