The previous chapters have been about navigating within Dashboard Design and the capabilities of its components. The components are the building blocks within Dashboard Design, but how do they work?

This chapter covers two critical topics related to how components work: properties and the embedded Excel workbook. The components have properties, and the properties are bound to cells within the embedded workbook.
