A Tour of the Pictures Library

Back in Chapter 4, I told you about your main user-account folder and mentioned that it’s the perfect spot to store documents you create. If you’ve been doing that, then you have noticed that your user folder includes a library named Pictures, and you probably guessed that this is where you ought to be hoarding your picture files. That’s certainly true, but not just because of the library’s name. Pictures is the place to squirrel away your images because it’s a special library that “understands” picture files and offers you some extra features designed specifically for messing around with images:
