Navigating with File Explorer
The Windows 8 program you use to explore your computer and its files and folders is called, appropriately enough, File Explorer. There are two main ways to coax this program onto the screen.
• In the Windows 8 Start screen, type explorer and then click the File Explorer tile.
• If you’re currently hanging around in the Desktop app, click the File Explorer icon in the taskbar.
Either way, you end up eyeballing a window that looks suspiciously like the one shown in Figure 5.1.
