Other Schedule Considerations

As you work through building your schedule, there are some additional things you need to consider. Although some of them might seem obvious, you would be surprised at how often people overlook the obvious!

Revisions

Assume that your schedule (and every other aspect of your plan) will require several revisions. Be sure you save each version with a unique identifier (such as the date) so you don’t accidentally refer to an earlier version at some point in time. As feedback arrives from both team members and outside resources, you might redraft the task estimates and dates several times until you come up with a workable, approvable timeline (schedule) for the project.
