Give Yourself Plenty of Time

Building a WBS for a complex project takes time. The WBS is a way to take the requirements the stakeholder(s) gave us (from Chapter 6) and turn them into the work that will need to be completed for the project to be delivered. Identify work so you can assess the overall amount of work there is and sequence it in the most logical fashion. A list of activities can be short and simple or long and detailed, depending on the size and goals of the project. Don’t try to sequence the tasks or estimate time and budget during WBS definition.
