Reporting Formats
It’s important that collecting and reporting your measures doesn’t consume the majority of your time. You want the majority of your time to be spent focusing on the implementation of your plan! Communicating performance is best done simply, and there are some commonly used reporting formats that can help you do just that. Two methods of reporting are dashboards and scorecards.
Dashboards
Many companies use dashboards to help them monitor progress. A dashboard is a very simple method of communicating progress on measures that uses a color-coded approach based on the familiar traffic light signals:
