Creating Ownership and Commitment

We have already seen that one of the dangers of creating a strategic plan is that it becomes little more than a historical document. Creating ownership in the plan and committing to implementing the plan from the very outset of the planning process can help to ensure that this doesn’t happen.
Large organizations are most likely to fall prey to this issue because, very often, the planning process takes place at the very top of the organization, with little or no involvement from employees throughout the organization.
